The Village of Manorhaven is holding a public briefing about how public agencies are likely to respond to natural and man-made disasters and what steps residents can take to be prepared.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 at Village Hall (33 Manorhaven Blvd.).

Mayor Michael Meehan, the village commissioner of safety and health, and the commissioner of the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management will be in attendance.
