Weekend track work on the Long Island Rail Road will result in some service disruptions for two weeks for customers traveling on the Hempstead branch, officials said.

On the weekends of Nov. 30 through Dec. 2, and Dec. 7 through Dec. 9, the LIRR will replace concrete track ties between Jamaica and Queens Village.

During those weekends, customers at Queens Village and Hollis traveling westbound will be bused to Jamaica. Westbound customers traveling to Queens Village or Hollis will get off at Bellrose for buses to those stations.

Eastbound customers will not have to take buses.

The “critical concrete tie replacement work” was originally scheduled to begin in October, but was postponed because of superstorm Sandy, LIRR officials said.
