With a 16-14 win over host Wantagh on Wednesday, undefeated Division moved into sole possession of first place in Nassau Conference B-I. The Blue Dragons are 12-0 overall and 5-0 in league. Wantagh falls to 11-2, 5-1. Third-place Garden City is 8-3, 4-1.

Fred Mase scored six goals with one assist, Tom Nuckel had three goals and three assists and Corey Triola had three goals and one assist for Division, which led 4-2 after the first quarter and 10-5 at halftime against Wantagh.

Goaltender Tom McDevitt made 15 saves for Division. Brandon Mangan led Wantagh with five goals and one assist.

The win should give the rest of the Nassau Class B teams notice: Division is on the list of playoff contenders.

Division plays Calhoun, Jericho and Garden City (next Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Division) to finish the regular season.

For the season, Triola has 36 goals and 13 assists, Nuckel has 32 and 24 and Mase has 24 and 19.
