DOT: Southern State Parkway night lane closures extended

The state transportation department has announced extended nighttime closing hours for two lanes of the eastbound Southern State Parkway at Route 135/Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway.

The lanes will be closed between 10 p.m. and 10 a.m., on Friday, May 20, the agency said. The two lanes have been closed from 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. as the state did maintenance on the overpass.

Weather permitting, all lanes should reopen in about a week as work is finished, the agency said.
