BACKGROUND: Lerose, 57, of Syosset, is also running on the Republican and Conservative lines in the general election. He was appointed judge to the Nassau County District Court, 4th District in March 2012. He served as co-deputy bureau chief of the General Litigation Bureau of the Nassau County attorney's office from 2010 to 2012. From 1995 through 2010, he was general counsel to State Sen. Carl Marcellino (R-Syosset). He received his undergraduate degree from Adelphi University in 1977 and his law degree from New York Law School in 1983. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984, and he is a member of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar associations.
