Keynote speaker

Bill Evans, senior meteorologist at WABC-TV news, told the students, "Here you stand on the brink of your careers. You are now expected to figure out what you were born to do. Enjoy the challenge because Dowling and your family have given you the tools to figure it out."

 

Valedictorian

Jack Louis Edelson, 22, of Merrick, received a bachelor's degree in political science. "If you have an idea, but you never share it and you never act upon it, it dies with you," he said. "All knowledge is potentially valuable, but to make the most of it, you must use it in a way that helps you develop as a person or helps make the world a better place."
