Dutchess County is searching for nominees for 2013 Senior Citizens of the Year.

The yearly awards are given to seniors in Dutchess County who are over age 60 and are dedicated to volunteerism and civic involvement. Nominations are accepted for Senior Male, Senior Female and Senior Couple of the Year.

To nominate a senior citizen, call the county Office for Aging at 845-486-2555 or fill out a nomination form available at www.co.dutchess.ny.us/CountyGov/Departments/Aging/soswinter1213.Pdf.

All nominations will be reviewed by the advisory board to the aging office, which will make the final selections.

Also, to honor a Dutchess County resident who has reached either 100 years of age or older or a 70th anniversary, call 845-486-2555 or email agingservices@co.dutchess.ny.us.
