Eagle Scouts honored across LI

The newest group of Eagle Scouts on Long Island is taking flight.
In ceremonies across Long Island, Scouts are being honored for attaining the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America hierarchy. To reach that level, Scouts have to earn 21 merit badges and demonstrate a commitment to service and leadership.
They must also complete a service project.
Among those recently honored were Logan Farrell of Troop 80 in Farmingville; Zachary Costello and Fredrick Winter III of Troop 4 in Brookhaven; Patrick Holomshek and Thomas Bundy of Troop 384 in Mount Sinai; Alexander DaPonte of Troop 74 in Coram; and Christopher Henry Recupero, who was lauded by Islip Town Councilman Steve Flotteron at St. Joseph’s Church in Ronkonkoma.
