Eagles' question at quarterback leaves Giants up in air

Tom Coughlin declined to answer any Eagles questions Monday, saying he would talk about the upcoming opponent Wednesday. Perhaps he's just waiting for them to name a starting quarterback.
The Giants returned to work from their weekend off to find that the Eagles are at least considering a change at quarterback. Andy Reid dropped a two-sentence bombshell Monday when asked about the status of the struggling Michael Vick as the starting quarterback.
"Right now, we're with Michael," Reid said. "We'll evaluate it as we go."
That's certainly not a strong endorsement from a coach who has been steadfastly behind Vick in the past. Eagles rookie Nick Foles was impressive in the preseason and would be the replacement if the Eagles pulled Vick, who is responsible for nine of the team's 12 turnovers through the first three games. Vick has completed 55.2 percent of his passes this season for three touchdowns and six interceptions and he's been sacked nine times. His passer rating is 66.3.
In his radio show later in the day, Reid clarified his remarks. "Michael is our quarterback, period," he said on WIP.
The Giants still see Vick as a dynamic player . . . even if the Eagles don't.
"I saw some plays in that game [against the Cardinals on Sunday] where he still looks the same and he got out of the pocket and started running," Justin Tuck said. "But it's tough. He's had some injuries on the O-line and guys are getting some clean shots on him and obviously, that's going to take a toll on any player. Not only him. But I think he still is one of the most dangerous people on the football field."
Bradshaw cleared
Ahmad Bradshaw was cleared to practice and should be on the field when the team works out Wednesday. The running back left in the first half of the Bucs game in Week 2 with a neck injury and did not play in Thursday's win over the Panthers. In the game and a half he missed, Andre Brown ran for 184 yards and three TDs on 33 carries.
Giant steps
Safety Antrel Rolle (knee), who was injured crashing into a sideline camera Thursday, did not practice Monday but should be working Wednesday . . . Wide receiver Domenik Hixon (concussion) has been cleared to return to action Wednesday. "It's just football and anybody can get hit in the back of the head," Hixon said of the blow he took from Tampa Bay linebacker Mason Foster.
