Financing for a proposed expansion of the East Norwich firehouse will be the subject of a Nov. 15 hearing by the Oyster Bay town board.

East Norwich Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 is proposing to expand its firehouse on Route 106 by about 6,400 square feet for storage of firefighting apparatus and administrative space. The department has petitioned the town board to authorize issuance of $1,616,000 in tax-exempt bonds to fund the project.

The hearing will be at 10 a.m. in Town Hall East at 54 Audrey Ave. in Oyster Bay.
