East Quogue is rallying in an effort to save two men battling cancer.

The men, who are friends, are in need of bone marrow transplants.

One is Tom Corrigan, who’s a former New York City detective and member of the FBI-New York Police Department's Joint Terrorism Task Force.

The other is Matt Curran, who’s a salesman.

A bone marrow drive is being held Saturday at the East Quogue Firehouse. The drive is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The test for a bone marrow match involves a simple quick swab of the inside of your mouth.

Corrigan, who is married with four children, has an aggressive form of leukemia. Curran, the father of two children, has non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
