Ed Sheeran refuses to confirm Ellie Goulding cheating rumor
Ed Sheeran played his song "Don't" from his album "X" for the first time in April 2014 on "Saturday Night Live." Ever since, the 23-year-old singer-songwriter has demurred about the targets in his cutting song about a cheating girlfriend and a guy he had previously "never seen as a threat." Many have assumed that the song is about 27-year-old Ellie Goulding's reported fling with One Direction's Niall Horan, 20, and it kind of seems like Sheeran proved our assumptions correct in a new interview! "It was a One Direction guy, right?" Howard Stern asked Sheeran on his radio show Monday about the guy behind "Don't." "The papers say a lot of things. I have kept my mouth shut about everything. I think if you add any fuel to any fire . . . " Sheeran trailed off, adding fuel to all fires. And he added: "I didn't really come out of that situation upset. I just thought it was a bit disrespectful."
