Northport High School senior Emily Green serves as a role model to her peers due to her undeniable passion for the Visual Arts and an unrelenting work ethic. Art is a deep and necessary part of Emily's life. Her artwork is large, ambitious, complex, and intelligent. While she focuses on portraiture, Emily is accomplished and versatile in other media that include painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography.

In tenth grade, Emily was honored with an art award from Congressman Steve Israel. Her artwork has been featured in the United States Capitol Building, annual Educators’ Conference in Albany, and at C.W. Post College. Emily is an active member of the National Art Honor Society and was selected by her peers for this year's homecoming court. She intends to pursue a higher education in arts administration.
