Emily Mervosh, a senior at East Meadow’s W.T. Clarke High School, is an excellent student and a gifted musician. As a percussionist, she is a member of the concert band, jazz ensemble, marching band, and pit orchestra. Emily is V.P. of the Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter. Last year, she participated in the Orchestral Studies Program sponsored by the New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA). In 2008, she attended the New England Music Camp and is a long-time member of Nassau-Suffolk Performing Arts and she has been a member of the Nassau County All-County Band every year since fifth grade. In 2009, Emily received two perfect scores of 100 at NYSSMA All State solo festival. This year she performed as a percussionist in the New York All-State Wind Ensemble.

Emily is ranked in the top ten in her class and carries an un-weighted grade point average of ninety-seven. She is V.P. of the National Honor Society and the English Honor Society.
