Employers seek employees at job fair
Local colleges, health care firms, the U.S. Army and Navy, and the Suffolk County Civil Service office are expected to be among the employers seeking workers at a Nesconset jobs fair next week.
The fair, sponsored by the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown public library. Job seekers are asked to bring a resume and dress for a job interview.
“This day will provide our residents with a chance to present their resumes to professionals looking to hire,” said Assemb. Michael Fitzpatrick (R-St. James). “It is a good networking opportunity for my constituents, and I urge anyone seeking employment to attend.”
Among the employers scheduled to attend are Mercy Haven, Utopia Home Care Inc., Developmental Disabilities Institute, United Healthcare, New York Life, Suffolk County Community College, St. Joseph’s College, Briarcliffe College and the ManpowerGroup employment agency.
