Huntington homeowners can apply for an energy efficiency audit and up to $13,000 in low-interest financing for energy retrofitting under the state Energy Research and Development Authority’s Green Jobs-Green New York Better Buildings program.

The program, which is now linked with the town’s Huntington Energy Efficiency and Conservation Options home program, launched last spring, allows homeowners to receive energy audits from LI Green, a nonprofit based in Stony Brook University’s Advanced Energy Center.

With the new partnership with the state, Huntington EECO can now assist homeowners with free or reduced-cost energy audits and low-interest financing for major retrofitting improvements.

To get more information or to sign up for the program, contact LI Green at 631-721-1908 or visit eecohomes.org.
