Expensive shots will mean lives lost

More than 30 years ago, I was given weekly shots of progesterone to prevent premature labor. Now I have a 31-year-old daughter and two grandchildren.
Today I read that the cost of these shots will jump from $10 to $20 per dose to $1,500 a dose. The manufacturer, K-V Pharmaceutical, assured people that a comprehensive patient assistance program would be established to ensure that the drug be available to every woman who needs it. I would assume that all women who need the medication will need assistance to cover the staggering cost.
Many babies could be lost if these injections are not available at a reasonable rate.
