Faces of Sandy: 50 LIers share their stories

Long Islanders share their stories about superstorm Sandy and relics they have saved from the storm.
Homeowners. Renters. Young adults. Elderly couples. Middle class families. Single-working mothers. These are all the victims of superstorm Sandy’s wrath.
The storm destroyed or damaged more than 95,000 structures on Long Island. More than 1 million customers lost power -- some for more than two weeks. But LIers showed their resilience.
Here are the stories of 50 Long Islanders.
