Family, friends honor mom killed shielding children from gunfire
Family and friends honored the life of Jessica White at a wake this afternoon.
The Bronx mother tried to save her children from being shot near the playground of the John Adams Houses on Westchester Avenue.
White's mother told News 12 that the killer was wearing a ski mask and killed her daughter while she was shielding her children.
Many people said prayers and expressed their condolences for the family. They described her as a kind person who would do anything to help her kids.
Some mourners wore T-shirts with White's face on them.
