Starting today, a section of Main Street will be closed on Tuesday evenings in August for the Northport Family Harbor Night.
The closing allows for the weekly street fair that includes outdoor dining, antique cars, vendors, crafts, contests, live music and more. Today’s event will feature a crazy hair and hat contest.
Main Street, from Union Place to Woodbine Avenue, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Festivities start at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by the village’s Chamber of Commerce.
