A fan injured his arm after falling over a railing above an outfield wall before Saturday night's game at Citi Field.

Giants outfielder Jarrett Parker said he saw the man fall near him onto the warning track in leftfield during batting practice. Parker said he saw a bone protruding from the man's arm.

Friends identified the fan as Nick Gambacorta and said he is in his 30s. Friend Joseph Piacentino III said he was standing on a deck a few feet above the 8-foot wall as Gambacorta tried to get the attention of a Giant. Piacentino said Gambacorta tried stopping his fall by grabbing the railing with his right hand as he went over the waist-high railing. The twisting motion broke his arm, Piacentino and Parker said. "There was blood all over his arm," Piacentino said. The Mets said the fan was taken to a hospital but didn't provide details. -- AP
