A fan hit by a foul ball Friday night at Fenway Park has been treated and released from a Boston hospital.

Stephanie Wapenski, 36, told The Boston Globe she was watching Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius from her seat on the third-base line when she saw a foul ball coming at her.

"It was like it knew who I was and had a vendetta," Wapenski said Saturday. "It came right for me."

The ball struck her between the eyebrows.

"I saw a lot of people hovering around her, asking for towels and that sort of thing. It was pretty scary," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said.

After being briefly treated, she got up and walked through the stands holding a towel to her head.

"From the minute it hit me, I just thought, 'No way. No way. I'm that person. I can't believe I'm that person,' " she told the Globe.

Another woman was hospitalized for eight days after being hit in the face by a flying bat fragment in a June 5 game against the A's at Fenway Park. Tonya Carpenter's injuries initially were considered life-threatening.
