Senior Matthew Farber rolled his first 300 game in the second game of an 816 series to lead Plainview JFK (3-0) in an 863-811, 892-921, 835-816 win over Bethpage Tuesday in boys bowling. Alex Mirsky shot 277 in Game 1 of a 701 series for the Hawks.
girls bowlingLongwood 3, Patchogue-Medford 0: Brianna Meyer rolled a career-best 299 in Game 2 of a 726 series for Longwood in a 952-876, 1,007-759, 890-749 victory. The junior bowled 11 consecutive strikes.
BOys basketballIslip 68, Bayport-Blue Point 66: Brian McPartland hit a three-pointer with 25 seconds left to win it for Islip in non-league. McPartland had 12 points and 10 assists, and junior Brian Pitt scored a career-high 30 points with six assists and five steals.Rocky Point 53, Mount Sinai 41: Steven Soltysik scored 15 points to lead Rocky Point. Daniel Sorano had 11 points and four steals, one for a breakaway layup in the fourth quarter that gave the Eagles a 40-38 lead they didn't relinquish.

Hodgson scored four of the Lions' seven points in the extra period. Chelsea Weir added 12 points. Shannon Duer scored 16 points for Islip.
