St. Anthony's Patrick Farmer won the 400 meters in 47.25 seconds at the New York Relays at Icahn Stadium yesterday, breaking the meet and stadium record of 47.49 set by Troy Faulkner of Curtis in 2008. The Friars' 4 x 1,600 team of Thomas Flynn, Nick Brennan, Frank Segreto and Thomas Diliberto took first in 18:22.7.

Sachem North's Joe Johnson won the decathlon with 4,829 points and teammate Brian Wersan was third in the 800 meters.

Bay Shore wins four events. Bay Shore's Brandon Hutchinson took first in the long jump in 21 feet, 5 inches and Michael Moore won the triple jump (42-11) at the Red Raider Relays at North Rockland High School. Michael Mauro took first in the 1,600 (4:25.74), while the Marauders' distance medley team of Ben Hogan, Rafael Rother, Kadesh Roberts and Mauro took first in 10:51.74. GIRLS TRACK

Westbury's Marlene Ricketts took first in the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, 61/2 inches at the New York Relays at Icahn Stadium.

North Babylon's Vanessa Stewart won the shotput (47-101/2) and the discus (143- 3), setting meet records in each event at the Red Raider Relays at North Rockland High School, Bulldogs coach Jim DiSalvo said.

BASEBALL

Wantagh 3, Glen Cove 2: Michael Rumel scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly by Matt Benedetto in the top of the seventh as Wantagh overcame a 2-1 deficit in non-league. Derek Novotny scored on a sac fly by Ryan Sliwak to tie the score at 2. Jason Proct allowed one earned run in 62/3 to earn the win.

SOFTBALL

Mercy 15, Shelter Island Ross 0: Anna Crowley tossed a no-hitter with 16 strikeouts and one walk to lead Mercy (3-2 Suffolk League VIII). Crowley lost her bid for a perfect game after a walk in the sixth inning. Crowley went 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs and two RBIs. Brook Lessard went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs.

Friends Academy 12, Westbury 0: Sophomore Paige Elgarten struck out eight in a five-inning no-hitter to lead Friends Academy (6-0 ABC-V). It was the second no-hitter this week for Elgarten. Correy Denihan had a triple and three RBIs and Holly Constants went 2-for-2 with two runs.

BOYS LACROSSE

Bellmore JFK 10, Copiague 9: Chris Wright scored the winner with 2:29 left in overtime on an assist from Zac Shuldiner for Bellmore JFK (5-3) in non-league. Michael Casson had four goals for Bellmore JFK.Sewanhaka 9, Clarke 8: Cody Vassallo scored his sixth goal with one minute left in overtime to win it for Sewanhaka (2-4) in non-league. Connor Boalick scored with four seconds left in regulation for Clarke and tie the score at 8.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Division 11, Hicksville 10: Alyssa Fiore scored her third goal with 2:25 left in overtime to give Division (2-1 Conference II) a 10-9 lead. Julie Ballantyne (four goals) gave Division an 11-9 lead with 15 seconds left in the extra session. Fiore tied the score at 9 off a feed from Taylor Malings with 1:23 left in regulation to force overtime.

Freeport 7, Baldwin 4: Gina Sparaco had four goals to lead Freeport (1-3) in a Conference III/IV crossover. Oludayisi Otulaja had 16 saves as Freeport beat Baldwin for the first time in eight years, Red Devils coach Danielle Ballard said.
