Farmers market opens for season Saturday in Amityville

Amityville’s Farmers Market will open for the season Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Organic vegetables, Long Island corn, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, fruit and pickles will be sold.
The market accepts SNAP/EBT benefits, debit cards, WIC and senior checks from the NY State Farmer’s Market nutrition programs.
The market will be at the 9/11 Memorial Park on Route 110, just south of the train trestle, Saturdays through Oct. 26.
