Federer hoping to keep run alive vs. Gasquet
Five-time U.S. Open champion Roger Federer will seek to continue his tournament run against Richard Gasquet in a quarterfinals match tonight at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
No. 2-ranked Federer, who was eliminated in the semifinals last year, is attempting to win his first U.S. Open since 2008. Gasquet, ranked No. 13, has reached the semifinals just once before, back in 2013. It was the best Open finish of his career. Federer is coming off a straight sets victory over American John Isner, though it wasn't an easy match. Still, Federer is the favorite over France's Gasquet, who topped the higher-ranked Tomas Berdych on Monday night.
