A woman attempted to rob a Suffolk County National Bank in Water Mill at  midday Friday  but fled before taking any money, Southampton Town police said.

Police, who responded to the scene about 12:30 p.m., described the woman as in her 20s, with dark-blond hair. She was wearing a dark-blue hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants and tan Ugg-style boots.

After demanding cash from a bank teller, police say she fled the bank.
