Tevye is coming back to Broadway, The Associated Press reports. Producers Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel said yesterday they will present a revival of "Fiddler on the Roof," one of the last great musicals of Broadway's Golden Age, in fall 2015. Based on stories by Sholom Aleichem, "Fiddler" centers on Tevye, a poor Orthodox Jew with five daughters in the Russian village of Anatevka in 1905. The 1964 production starred Zero Mostel and had a near eight-year run, offering the world such songs as "Sunrise, Sunset" and "If I Were a Rich Man."
