Mike Sagl scored from Galasso early in the fourth quarter to make it 13-5. The assist gave Galasso 500 points for his career. And with his previous assist late in the third quarter, Galasso became Long Island’s all-time career boys lacrosse scoring leader, breaking Jim Zaffuto’s mark of 498. Zaffuto played for Elmont from 1974-77.

West Islip wins its second straight state title and fourth in the last five seasons.
