Bobby Finke hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Locust Valley a one-run lead and Haydon Taylor struck out the side in the top of the seventh as Locust Valley beat Oyster Bay, 2-1, Thursday in a Nassau Conference BC baseball game. Tom McNamara started the sixth-inning rally for host Locust Valley (1-2) with a pinch-hit single.

Taylor pitched a complete game, striking out nine. Oyster Bay is 2-1.

St. Dominic 3, Ohio Grove City 2: Nick Girardi singled with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to drive in Tom Volberg from second base to win it for St. Dominic (3-1) in non-league. Volberg doubled with two outs in the seventh to tie the score at 2.

Uniondale 9, Elmont 1: Joel Rotestan pitched a two-hitter, striking out 11 for Uniondale (1-1) in non-league. Brandon Matos was 3-for-4 and Eric Jose went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Manhasset 11, Maryland Notre Dame 10: Halle Majorana (four goals, two assists) scored with 30 seconds left to break a tie at 10 for Manhasset (3-0) in non-league. Kerri Fleishhacker (three goals) tied the score at 10 with 1:00 to go.BOYS LACROSSE

Massapequa 13, Long Beach 9: Rob Goeren had five goals and two assists and Jamie Shand added two goals and three assists for Massapequa (3-1) in non-league. Eric Schneider made 14 saves.Wantagh 20, South Side 13: Brandon Mangan had five goals and six assists and John Ingrilli added four goals for Wantagh (4-0) in non-league. Ryan Walsh and James Bonanno each had three goals for Wantagh. Gavin Ahern scored five goals with two assists for South Side.SOFTBALL

East Meadow 3, Long Beach 0: Lindsay McKillop pitched a two-hitter, allowing one walk and striking out 10 for East Meadow (2-0) in Conference AA-I. East Meadow scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the sixth. A one-out error allowed Danielle Cutuli to score the game's first run.Island Trees 4, Clarke 1: Taylor Tedeschi allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks and struck out 12 for Island Trees (1-1) in Conference ABC-II.
