Yesterday, five Long Island girls lacrosse players were named to the Under Armour All American North team. They are Shoreham-Wading River's Kait Brosco and Jen DeVito, West Islip's Alyssa Costantino, Garden City's Shannon Mangini, and Rocky Point's Kara Mupo (who is pictured above covering Brosco).

Those five will join 17 others on the North squad, which will play the South team in the fifth annual Under Armour All-American Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, July 3 at Johnny Unitas Stadium on the campus of Towson University. The girls game is at 5:30 p.m., and the boys follow at 8.

Brosco, a midfielder who will play at Notre Dame next year, leads the 14-2 Wildcats with 72 points and 28 assists, while DeVito, a Yale-bound attack, leads SWR with 51 goals.

Costantino, the Lions' goalie who will play at Syracuse next year, has made 162 saves for a defense that has held five opponents to under 10 goals this season. She has nine games of 10+ saves.

Mangini, a Penn-bound attack, ranks third on the Trojans with 32 goals and also has eight assists, and Mupo, an attack who will play at Northwestern next year, leads the Eagles with 74 goals and 17 assists. Her 74 goals are third in Suffolk, two behind North Babylon's Bria Hartley and five back of Northport's Shannon Gilroy.
