Flight Crew: Cooking classes in Europe
Q Can you recommend food-related tours in Europe that include cooking classes?
A Saveur magazine recently started offering awards for some of its favorite food-travel services, and its top award for culinary tour went to Gourmet on Tour, so you might check it out. The reader's choice award went to Tauck.
Q I'm flying to California for my son's wedding. In the past, one would carry a long gown and ask the attendant to hang it up. Is this still possible?
A There are no set airline policies on this, but it will probably depend on the plane type, whether it's a crowded flight and the general attitude of the flight attendants. (Some airlines have done away with closets altogether.) Wedding gowns often are given special attention, but that may not apply to gowns for wedding attendees.
Q I'm spending a couple of days in Boston and have done the very touristy things. I'm thinking of going to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts. Any other ideas besides museums?
A Two great spots: the spectacular Boston Public Library and Trinity Church (photos of the latter reflected in the sleek glass Hancock Tower are cliches for good reason).
