Hundreds of flights in and out of local airports were canceled or delayed Friday in anticipation of the impending snowstorm.

At JFK International Airport, 381 flights were canceled and another 234 were delayed as of Friday evening, according to Flight Aware, an airline tracking site.

Nearby LaGuardia Airport experienced 242 canceled flights and 145 delays, Flight Aware data shows.
Long Island MacArthur Airport was not spared the misery, with 8 cancellations and 22 delays, records show.

The cancellations are likely to grow overnight, officials have said, as the snowfall increases Friday night into Saturday morning.
