For OC Reich, Friday was 'mission accomplished'

The way the starting offense performed with Geno Smith running it in Friday’s win over Pittsburgh was exactly how coordinator Frank Reich drew it up.
Reich couldn’t have predicted Smith would go 7-for-7 with a touchdown. But he wanted to get Smith going after missing the prior game with a sore ankle and spread the ball around – and both happened.
“We went out there with a purpose in mind and for me that purpose was to get Geno going and spread the ball around,” Reich said “Just get him comfortable in the pocket, let him get hit. So it was mission accomplished there. Obviously he was on point.”
