A one-day program offering free civil legal services will take place Tuesday in North Amityville.

Sponsored by State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Babylon Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer, the program will provide a mobile help center to offer free civil legal services to those in need. The Mobile Legal Help Center is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group and the New York State Office of Court Administration.

Attorneys will be available to provide free advice, legal counseling and direct representation to residents on various matters including Medicaid, Medicare, Medicaid-funded home care, social security, social security disability insurance, food stamps and public assistance.

The services will be available at Bolden Mack Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Individuals are encouraged to bring with them any documentation that may be useful to the attorneys in providing assistance. Those with questions on the program should call should call 516-882-0630.
