A free clinic on home foreclosures will be held by the Suffolk County Bar Association Thursday in Hauppauge.

The clinic, open to Suffolk residents who are delinquent in their home mortgage payments, will be held at 1 p.m. at the Great Hall of the Bar Center, 560 Wheeler Rd.

The program will discuss foreclosure laws and proceedings, and provide information on what courts, lenders and homeowners do to deal with foreclosure, the bar association said in a news release. There also will be a question-and-answer period.

Clients of the bar association’s Foreclosure Project may not participate in the clinic. The clinic also is not open to people who have appeared in court because of foreclosure proceedings, the bar association said.

To enroll, call 631-234-5511, extensions 223, 224 or 227.
