Free flu shots for seniors in N. Hempstead
The Town of North Hempstead and North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System are offering free flu vaccines to residents who are age 60 or older.
The shots will be dispensed at five locations between Thursday and Oct. 31.
Town residents must register in advance by calling the town’s 311 hotline from within the town or 516-869-6311 when outside town boundaries.
The flu vaccines will be available:
Thursday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Magnolia Gardens Senior Housing, 899 Broadway, Westbury.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Port Washington Senior Citizens Inc., 80 Manorhaven Blvd., Port Washington.
Oct. 26: Noon to 3 p.m. at Great Neck Senior Center, 80 Grace Ave., Great Neck.
Oct. 27: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clinton G. Martin Park, 1601 Marcus Ave., New Hyde Park.
Oct. 31: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, 300 Forest Dr., East Hills.
