Free flu shots offered at Carle Place health fair

Residents of the 7th State Senate District can receive free flu shots and blood glucose screenings in Carle Place Saturday at a Health and Wellness Fair sponsored by Sen. Jack Martins (R-Mineola).
Between 1 and 4 p.m., residents can attend the fair at Carle Place High School, 168 Cherry Lane, and meet representatives of local health organizations such as the Long Island Crisis Center and the Mental Health Association of Nassau County.
CVS will provide the flu shots, Martins’ office said, and the Adelphi School of Nursing will offer the blood glucose screenings.
Residents are encouraged to bring their insurance information, though Martins’ office said there will be no out-of-pocket costs.
