The Edmund W. Miles Middle School in Amityville will host a free health screening Tuesday for issues such as diabetes and blood pressure.

Those interested in being tested must be age 18 or older. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school’s parking lot, at 501 Broadway.

The screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes tests. Further information and patient referrals will be given as needed.

The health screening will be a partnership with Saint Francis Hospital’s Community Outreach program, according to an announcement from the Amityville School District.

District spokesman Terry Gilberti said this was the second year the school and Saint Francis held a screening.
