Job seekers, including those re-entering the workforce, will get a chance to develop their skills during a free workshop and networking event Saturday.

The workshop, sponsored by state Sen. Jack M. Martins (R-Mineola) and Nassau Community College, will be held in the theater in the Elmont Public Library, 700 Hempstead Tpke.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A job resource networking social for participants will take place afterward.

The workshop will focus on writing an effective resume, identifying job opportunities, interview strategies, networking, and dressing for success. An expert panel of employers will answer questions. A job expert will critique resumes.

To reserve space, email Martins’ office at martins@nysenate.gov, or register the day of the workshop.

For more information, call Martins' district office at 516-746-5924.
