Free legal clinic for Sandy victims set for Island Park tonight
The Island Park Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency, the Nassau County Bar Association and Nassau County attorney’s office will host a Sandy Victim Free Legal Clinic tonight.
The event, open to residents and businesses owners of Island Park, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the South Shore Jewish Center, 191 Long Beach Rd. in Island Park.
The clinic will provide an opportunity to sit with an attorney and receive free legal advice regarding several issues, including flood and property damage, automobile insurance claims, FEMA assistance and grants, landlord-tenant issues, debt deferral, bankruptcy, foreclosure, consumer protection issues and health issues.
Residents or businesses owners should bring any relevant paperwork.
