Four days of free parking in Great Neck Plaza for shoppers

Shoppers swept up in the season’s buying frenzy won’t have to cough up change for parking for a few days next month in Great Neck Plaza.

Hoping to lure more people to its commercial strip, the village and the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement district are offering free four-hour parking in the village’s outdoor lots and garages on selected days in December.

The free days will be three Saturdays — Dec. 1, 8 and 22 — as well as Monday, Dec. 24.

“It is our hope that the free four-hour outdoor lot and garage parking will serve as an added incentive to our residents and neighbors to visit us this holiday season,” Ron Edelson, executive director of the district, said in a statement.
