Free prostate cancer screening in Massapequa Park

A free prostate cancer screening program April 4 will be sponsored by state Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) and the Integrated Medical Foundation.
The program will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Massapequa Library’s Bar Harbour Building, 40 Harbor Lane.
Screenings will be conducted by Dr. Michael Dourmashkin of Advanced Urology of New York.
The program is open to all men over 40 who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Screenings will include a PSA blood test and a digital rectal exam. A photo ID is required. Patients must bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be notified of the exam results. Patients should also bring the name and address of their primary care physician, if possible.
Appointments are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments can be made at 516-882-0630.
