State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with the Integrated Medical Foundation, will be sponsoring a free prostate cancer screening event in Bellmore.

The screening will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bellmore Public Library, 2288 Bedford Ave.

The free screenings will be conducted by Dr. Eric Thall of Advanced Urology Centers of New York in Rockville Centre.

The program is open to all Nassau County men ages 40 and older who have not previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Screenings will include a prostate-specific antigen blood test and a digital rectal exam.

Patients will be required to show photo ID containing an address at the time of the screening.
A patient wishing to be notified of the exam results should bring two stamped envelopes: one addressed to himself and the other to his regular doctor.

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will be accepted. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information or to make an appointment, call Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
