Suffolk County is again offering assistance to veterans in need.

Tomorrow, the Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency will host its sixth annual Veterans Stand Down event at the Brentwood campus of Suffolk County Community College.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Health, Sports and Education Center. There will be federal, state, county and private agencies available to answer questions and assist veterans in need of health, employment, financial, housing, educational and other benefits. There also will be services available to veterans, including a meal station, hair-cutting station, clothing closet and food pantry.

The 3A, S33 and S41 Suffolk buses run to the campus. Transportation to the event is being provided by the Disabled American Veterans. There will be pickups from the Riverhead County Center in Riverhead at 8:30 a.m.; the Northport VA Medical Center at 9:15 a.m.; the Pax Christ Hospitality Center in Port Jefferson at 10:30 a.m.; the H.
