Freeport’s Community Development Agency will hold a public forum tonight at the Freeport Recreation Center.
The forum will be hosted by Mayor Andrew Hardwick. Topics for discussion will include “affordable housing, law enforcement initiatives, and an update on Freeport’s roadway maintenance projects,” village officials said in a statement.
The forum will also update the progress of several new businesses slated to open in the village, officials said.
The event is the third in a series of forums that began in 2011, Hardwick said in a statement.
“It is important that the residents hear about all the good work being done, and what they can expect to see in their community in the near future,” he said.
The forum runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The Freeport Recreation Center is at 130 East Merrick Rd.
