Freshman Jen Fay had career highs of 31 points and 16 rebounds as visiting No. 5 Lynbrook overcame a double-digit halftime deficit to edge fourth-seeded North Shore, 69-68, in a Nassau girls Class A quarterfinal game Tuesday.

Fay scored 17 points during a 40-25 second half for Lynbrook, which trailed, 43-29, at the break.

Brooke Gerstman had 21 points and Danielle Amaya added 12 rebounds for Lynbrook (15-4), which will play No. 1 Division in a semifinal on March 1 at Freeport.

Amanda Johansen had 23 points and Erin Sheerin added 15 points for North Shore.

Division 56, Mineola 34: Julie Ballantyne scored 16 points and went eight-for-eight from the free throw line and Brianne Connolly added 14 to lead No. 1 Division (19-1).

Garden City 44, Seaford 20: Barbara Sullivan scored eight of her 22 points in a 14-5 first quarter and Christina Mangels had 11 rebounds for No. 2 Garden City (16-3) against No. 7 Seaford in a Nassau Class A quarterfinal. Garden City will play No. 3 South Side in a semifinal on Tuesday at Freeport.South Side 41, Sewanhaka 30: Megan Lonergan had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Christina Merrifield added 10 points and eight rebounds as No. 2 South Side (15-4) overcame a 10-point third-quarter deficit in the Class A quarterfinals. Celine Jolicoeur had 13 points for No. 11 Sewanhaka.Shoreham-Wading River 55, Miller Place 38: Michelle Gostic scored 16 points, Sarah Franck had 10 points, including six in the first quarter and five assists and Corinne Wiederkehr had nine points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead No. 4 Shoreham-Wading River (12-7) in a Suffolk Class A first-round game. Shoreham-Wading River will play at No. 1 Glenn on Saturday in a semifinal. Kings Park 48, East Hampton 34: Meghan Eckel had 10 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Marion Kawecki had 10 points and Taylor Bailey and Danielle Buoncore each had eight rebounds to lead No. 3 Kings Park (15-4) in a Suffolk Class A first-round game. Baldwin will play No. 5 Great Neck South in a semifinal at Old Westbury on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Great Neck South 72, East Meadow 50: Ben Kestenbaum scored 16 points and Stephen Ambrosio and Adam Warner each added 15 points to lead No. 5 Great Neck South (15-4) against No. 4 East Meadow in a Class AA quarterfinal.

Elmont 59, Uniondale 52: Anthony Elechi scored 20 points with 14 rebounds and Greg Senat added 16 points to lead No. 2 Elmont (16-2) over No. 7 Uniondale in a Class AA quarterfinal. Shaquille Mosley scored 30 points for Uniondale in the loss.
