Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano will host a May 21 fundraiser for the Nassau County Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged from 6 to 9 p.m., at H.R. Singletons in Bethpage.

Nassau County will host the Games for a third consecutive year.

“I ask you to join me in continuing to save the games,” Mangano said, referring to the state’s decision to stop funding the event, which will take place May 30 to June 1.

“As County Executive, I know firsthand the joy and triumph the Games have brought to its athletes, coaches, family members, and our community,” he said in a statement. “For the past two years, we have successfully funded the Games and will continue to do so, but not without your help.”

Hors d’oeuvres and nonalcoholic drinks will be served with a $40 donation, which includes one door prize raffle ticket.

For ticket reservations or to donate a charity auction gift basket to benefit the Games, contact Kristen Kelly at 516-572-0220 or by email at kkelly2@nassaucountyny.gov. Space is limited.
