Garden City wins LIC
Garden City defeated Glenn, 51-42, in the Long Island Class A championship at Hofstra. The Trojans will play in the state semifinals Friday at 3:15 p.m. in Troy. Barbara Sullivan scored 17 points and Christina Mangels added 15 for Garden City (19-3). Allison McKenna led Glenn (20-2) with 21 points and fouled out with more than three minutes left in the game.
