Garrett Wilson makes a move

Geno Smith’s first pass against Tampa’s starting defense was intercepted by Damarion Williams and returned for a touchdown. Garrett Wilson fell while running his route, but Smith wasn’t sharp early in practice. He completed just three of his first seven passes and was picked off twice.
Smith found a little more of a rhythm, connecting on seven of his last nine throws with two touchdowns. Both TDs – to Mason Taylor and Wilson – came during red zone drills. Wilson caught a deflected pass and juked a few Tampa defenders before getting in the end zone.
“The first thing is you expect that from that player and secondly you’re excited because you know he’s in it,” Aaron Glenn said. “It’s not just I’m trying to catch and go down. I’m trying to catch and I’m trying to score, I’m trying to make something happen.”
